Time off

So I've been out of the loop for quite a while, didn't realize until today how long it has been since I last posted something. Anyways, I am back on the plan. I actually went to the clinic to cancel the remaining of my weeks, but while I sat there I realized I needed to be there. I've always been a perfectionist, and when something I try to do does not come out perfect I give up. This is what I had done with the MWL diet. I followed the plan and one day I deviated from their plan and I felt that I had failed, so I went off the plan entirely. The good thing is I am still down 10 lbs Yeah!! I am learning not to be so hard on myself, that there will be days where I don't follow the plan exactly. As long as I get back on the plan right away, it'll be ok. I think this is one of the toughest things I've got learn while on this journey.

Hum Drums

Not having a really good week so far. Since Friday of last week my diet has been kind of hit or miss. I've been craving certain foods and having stomach issues with eating alot of protein and drinking soy products. I believe that if you don't give into your cravings your liable to overeat and binge. So on Friday I went to dinner with Jason and Nicole at Big Boys and had a slimjim, fries and coleslaw. I didn't eat all of the fries only half and I didn't like the coleslaw. Of course after dinner I wanted the hot fudge sundae, had one! Saturday I followed my plan to a tee but Sunday was another bust. Had a bar-be-cue at my Mom's and ate a hotdog, cheesy potatoes and cupcake. Monday did well but today needed to eat something more hearty. So my week has been up and down. My weight has gone up 1 lb down 2 lbs. I think I need to re-evaluate my eating plans. Maybe I need to tweak the MWLC diet. I think I'll cut back on the soy products and eat a better variety of vegetables and fruit. I think I'll pick up my excerising routine too.

Product Test

So I've decided to give this weight a try, the ad says only 6 minutes a day to firmer toner arms, so we'll see. I don't buy many "as seen on TV" items but the price was right. I am giving it a 30 days try. I do this for 3 days then off 1, then back on again for 3. As of today my muscles are a little sore. On a lighter note..I am now down 15 lbs., in less than 5 weeks.

Wish List Wednesday

Another vacation to Myrtle Beach...

A visit with my family in SC...

Someone to professionally landscape my yard..

30 days

Well we have made it to the 30 day mark and I've lost 12 lbs. Not bad it's 3 lbs per week. Last week we were on vacation and believe it or not I didn't really think about my diet in terms of writing everything down anyways. I was conscious about what I ate and I tried to eat my Protein, Vegetables, Fruit and Starch in sequence as they told us too and I lost a 1lb that week. Considering I ate stuff like crab legs, crab cakes, hot fudge sundae then "sticky fingers" ribs that is pretty darn good. I did walk the treadmill 3x that week at the hotel and we were very active as well. My blood pressure continues to stay in the range of 110/60 which is very low for me so I am happy about that. This week for three days I am back on the cleansing, which is only eating beef, green vegetables, egg and an orange daily.

Off Day

Yesterday was a very "off" day for me and I don't mean off of my diet, just not right. I took Kaite to the dermatologist and what I thought would be only a 1/2 hour visit turned into 2 1/2 hours. Afterwards she and I were both hungry so we went to a coney island for something to eat. Now a coney is not the best place to go when you are trying to eat healthy. I did fairly well and by that I mean I ate 1/2 of my chicken pita (the chicken was breaded and with cheese) and only 7 fries, yep I counted them. The whole thing just threw me off balance. I learned though it was because I had not planned. Planned for being away that long and bringing along a snack or drinking more water. Now I know that I must always carry something with me. To date I've lost 8 lbs YEAH!! It's coming off slowly but none the less it is coming off. It averages out to 4 lbs a week right now. Blood pressure has been holding steady in the 110/72 area very well for me. I have a doctors appointment in a few weeks with my family physician so I am excited to show her my journal with my progress, hopefully she'll reduce my blood pressure medicine since she increased it a few months ago. We'll have to wait and see.

1/2 Way into the 2nd week

So 1/2 way into my second week (though MWLC considers this my first week) I have gained back 1 lb. I have followed this diet to a tee and can't figure it out. During one of my visits the PA told me that this is normal, it's your bodies way of getting used to what you are now eating and your weight for the first couple of weeks will go up and down. I took that to heart and decided not to stress over this. One of the pointers she gave me was not to look so much at the daily weigh ins but at the overall weight loss for the week. My weeks begin on Monday thru Sunday, so I'll wait and see. Plus I am weighing in evey day, one day you wear a sweater, one day you don't so 1 lb is not so bad (maybe I should've pee'd before I weighed in LOL). I've also been sick the last couple of days (damn them smokers)
so my energy level plummetted, today though I'am feeling a little better so I am looking forward to my energy level returning to where it was last week-end.

Finished week 1

Yeah...I have completed the first week of the program and am down 6 1/2 lbs. 3 1/2 lbs more to go until I reach my first mini goal. I will admit it was kind of hard yesterday, I so bad wanted to go out to eat and I was prepared to eat broiled fish, baked potatoe, and steamed vegies and after a long day of work, then the funeral home
after and only getting 3 1/2 hours sleep the night before, I was exhausted, so I figured why not eat out! Thankfully my wonderful husband volunteered to cook for me last night. He made a very delicious healthy, keep in the program, dinner in 10 minutes. Way to go Honey and thank you. Today I have so much energy. I worked 4 hours this morning, weighed in, ran some errands and now I am beginning to paint a room. Whew! The program really works and I don't miss anything yet, so here is to another week of the MWLC re-establishing good eating habits.

2nd Day into the Program

It's been since the 11th of March and I've lost a total of 6 lbs. Not bad for the first week. I will say though that the cleansing part was difficult. By Wednesday night I didn't care if I saw a piece of beef again. The program so far is fairly easy to follow, I found if you plan your meals out for the next day and prepare them the day before it really helps to know what you'll be eating. Drinking 65 oz of water daily is making me pee alot LOL. Now I am working on setting some goals. My long terms goal is to lose 75 lbs - but I want to set up some smaller goals to keep the motivation going. So far I've got; at the first ten pounds I'll treat myself to manicure then the next ten pounds to a pedicure, and thats it. So I've got some work to do.

3rd Day of Cleansing

It is now the third and final day of cleansing. I've been doing really good so far, lost a total of 2 1/2 lbs and my blood pressure has been steadily holding at 120/84.
My doctor will be happy with that. I am soo looking forward to eating starch's and carb's tomorrow, instead of beef, eggs and oranges. Off to make my grocery list for tomorrow TTLY
